IPFW Fall Job Fair


Can you believe it?!  It's our biggest job fair to date, with 80 employers registered to hire IPFW students and alumni!!

THE DETAILS:
When: Thursday, September 22nd, 10am-2pm
Where: IPFW Walb Union Ballroom
Who's Invited: IPFW students & alumni, IU & Purdue related campuses students & alumni, other area college students

HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  1. Come to one of the prep sessions, offered through IPFW Career Services.  Get your resume critiqued and learn of strategies to be successful at a job fair.
    • Tuesday, September 20th, 10am-4pm, Kettler Hall 109
    • Wednesday, September 21st, 10am-4pm, Kettler Hall 109
  2. Login to JobZone and view the list of employers attending ahead of time.  Don't have a JobZone account?  If you're an IPFW student/alumnus or an IU/Purdue affiliated student/alumnus you may already have an account.  Call IPFW Career Services for more information at (260)481-0689.
  3. Research the companies attending.  Employers have told us time and time again that the worst thing to do at a job fair is to ask them, "So, what does X company do?"  You should already know what they do before you approach them at the fair.  If you don't have a JobZone account, then you won't know what companies are attending the job fair prior to the day.  We recommend coming early to receive a booklet with the list of companies and then taking time to do any research necessary before approaching their tables.
