Careers for Connectors

In career counseling, I often ask students what their hobbies and interests are in order to get an indication of the kind of work they might want to do in the future. One of the most common answers I hear is hanging out with my friends. This does conjure up images of people lounging on their couches together playing Xbox. I’m convinced will only lead to work in the military  or perhaps as a video game tester  But, what if you really are a super-connector? Are you that person amongst your friends, family and co-workers that is always introducing everyone to each other and planning get-togethers? In a chapter in Keith Ferrazzi’s fabulous book Never Eat Alone, he describes these super connectors as great people to help you build your network. But, I think if you are already an awesome networker, these could be great careers for you.

Good at making new friends?  Here are some careers for you!
